Urban’s headquarters is located at 2041 Martin Luther King, Jr. Avenue, S.E. Washington, D.C. and the main terminal is located at 212 Van Buren Street, N.W. Washington, D.C. 20012, on approximately 2-½ acres. The main terminal facility includes administrative offices, maintenance and servicing center, equipment repair shop and a dispatch division. The majority of Urban’s maintenance and repair work is performed in-house in the facility’s maintenance repair shop. The facility also includes a container fabrication shop for the repair, painting and steam cleaning of containers and compactors.

The company maintains a fleet of state-of-the-art refuse trucks to service front-end, roll-off and compactor containers. The average age of our fleet is under 7 years and our regular maintenance and servicing activities ensure that our trucks exceed safety and performance requirements. In addition to our fleet, we maintain a wide variety of containers to meet the varied and immediate needs of our customers. Our consistent operational performance has provided us with a strong financial foundation. Urban maintains a $1.0 million revolving line of credit with BB&T Bank and has access to equipment financing with Fidelity Bank and Trust for the purchase of new trucks and containers to meet our customers’ needs. Urban’s financial strength and performance has qualified the company to receive performance bonds up to $10 million dollars.
